John Williams began Sunrise Excavating and Paving in 1978 with a backhoe, a dump truck and a desire to be the company that people called for their backhoe or excavation needs. One year later he incorporated the company, hired a couple of employees to help him out and has slowly built the company into a 30-employee, family-centered paving contractor that proudly serves Redding, Red Bluff, Anderson, Cottonwood and Mt. Shasta.
